This technique of meditation originated in India over 5,000 years ago. The integrity of the tradition has been passed on through an unbroken line of teachers from that time.
The technique and knowledge is specifically designed for “householders”, meaning those who have not chosen to live a reclusive or monastic lifestyle and who remain fully engaged in everyday life. While having its roots in India, the technique is not intrinsically “Indian”; it is universal in its nature and understanding. In much the same way that Einstein’s & Newton’s theories have universal application.
The householder technique is sometimes referred to as Vedic Meditation. Vedic means “from the Veda”, and Veda is the ancient record of spiritual experience that is the source of the arts and sciences of Ayurvedic medicine, yoga, meditation and Indian philosophy.
